the first time I set foot on campus, I fell in love with SMU. I mean, it’s gorgeous. And when I found out I couldn’t afford it, I gave up and started planning on moving to Australia on a whim. (It’s a long story, if you haven’t heard it I wrote it all in my blog. Link in bio. Haha writing clickbait is just second nature now, you got punk’d.)

All this to say, woohoo I’m done with finals and all that’s left are grad festivities! 👩🏾🎓 .
✨Spent 2.5 years pinching myself that I got to go to this school and now I’m trying to believe I’m actually graduating from it! 🎉
before my flight home, we stopped at the @gettymuseum and viewed Édouard Manet’s works. He died at 51 and before that was ill for a long time. Having to rest and stay inside, away from café culture and social events he loved so much, had its toll on him. But he learned to paint the friends that visited him, the flowers they brought him, and the gardens he looked out on. As God is making it clear that I need to be more aware of my physical limitations and to make time to rest and take care of myself, I’m hoping to create as much beauty from my circumstances as Manet did 💐🎨
